My Take: One of the very first joints I visited during my stay in Lagos was Hard Rock Cafe. I’ve heard so many references about this American Restaurant, I was super excited to check it out. I loved the restaurant theme with the Rock and Roll Memorabilia hanging on the walls. I especially loved the outdoor area, that’s adjacent to the beach, over looking the Atlantic Ocean. Very nice place to soak up the sun and enjoy a nice cold beer. They occasionally invite guest Djs on Weekend nights and the place get’s lit 🔥. Definitely a must visit when in Nigeria.

My Take: If you like a restaurant overlooking water, then you’ll love the outdoor setting of Lagoon restaurant. It has a nice view as you look across the Lagos Lagoon to Lagos Island especially at night. They have a variety of cuisine on their menu, mostly international, but also have local food available. We ordered some indian food – cant recall specifically which food, but there was Naan and some chicken. Also had some Chinese – Cashew nut chicken and fried rice and an assorted meat platter. The food was really good, and the quantities generous (No time did I complain about the portions in Nigeria). A nice place to take a date or to chill out on a hot sunny day.

My Take: First apologies for the out of focus pic, I had shaky hands that day, probably withdrawal symptoms from not having Chicken Wraps for a while. I was in Oga land recently and my friend (the best 👍) took me for lunch at Cactus Restaurant. The restaurant is really nice, large, felt almost like was in a ballroom restaurant. Its frequented by a lot of foreigners probably because of it’s wide selection of Continental cuisine, Chinese and Indian as well. I had the Mushroom Chicken (Extra spicy – because that’s how every other meal is in Nigeria) and Fries, it was excellent. If you find yourself in Nigeria and not in the mood for Jollof, Egusi and their Swallows. Try out this place
