Juice @ Java Coffee House

My Take: Nothing hits the spot like a nice cold frothy beer on a hot sunny afternoon…but when ‘someone’ keeps complaining about your beer belly, you sometimes have to drink juice 😒. If you’ve tried the juices at Java then you know they can sometimes be bitter..ish, tip is to order juice for the fruit in season, or just ask the waiter, otherwise you might be served juice that tastes like battery acid. But you can never go wrong with Pineapple and Mint

Burger and Fries @ Java Coffee House

My Take: I guess you can never go wrong with Burger and fries. It would take quite some effort to screw up something so simple, but that doesn’t mean that all places have the same quality, some do it better than other, one of those places is Java, my wife loves their burgers. Give it a try, guarantee you will not regret, they are served with a choice of fries or salad, or fruits…I think

My Take: If you’ve followed this blog for a while, you may know that one of the reasons I love Java Coffee House is the service, always exceptional!! The ambiance at every Java Coffee House is also very tasteful (IMO) and gives a homely feel – well, if you can ignore the chatter from the random people around you. On this Sunday, I was out for lunch with the 2 most important ladies in my life, my Mom and the lovely B aka Mrs. Me, we had a great time at Java, The Junction. I had the lamu fish – Best I’ve had so far, B had the chicken wings ( I withhold any comment on the wings, the portion was just laughable), Mom had the English-style fish, which was pretty good (I’ll review it once I’ve tried it myself, though the one served at Saape is great, check out the review here)… Try out the Lamu fish, you’ll love it!
